This is one of those that teach a valuable lesson and are also a good time. A volunteer park cleanup & habitat restoration event at Burnaby's Central Park. Remove invasive plants and help protect and restore Burnaby's parks. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, with tools and guidance provided.

This one is a bit further than usual (I know, "far for who?", ask all the hundreds of readers from Ladner). One of the region's largest open-air street markets, with produce, artisanal foods, crafts, and live music. Free admission, rain or shine.

Stop by Cambie Library to learn about and try our Sphero Indis! These fun little cars are a great way to introduce coding and robotics to children 4+.

Who knows, maybe you wanna try some different date night. Try Science World's fun little gadgets without a random kid coming and pressing all buttons ten times in 3 seconds. Did I say you can even have a drink?

Outdoor movie, performances and games. And no need to drive all the way to downtown Vancouver, good old Crazy Rich Asians starting at 8:50pm.
